J L  Bennett Jr.
J.L. "Jay" Bennett, Jr., was born on January 8, 1947, in Wisner, LA, to the late J.L. and Emma L. Bennett, Sr. "Jay", departed this life unexpectedly on, November 9, 2016, at his home. He was the oldest of 8 children.

Jay graduated from Wisner Gilbert High School in 1965. He was stationed in Seoul Korea, in the U.S. Army, from 1966 to 1968. He worked for B.P. Oil Refinery, for 38 years, as a Process Operator.

Jay was an avid bowler for over 40 years. He enjoyed playing cards, being with family, and visiting his brother Ronnie and cousin Bobby.

He was preceded in death by parents, and siblings, Jerry and Emma Faye.

Jay leaves to cherish his loving memories, wife, Sheila; son, Bryan; daughters, Jada, Kesha and Danielle; brother, Ronnie; sisters, Barbara, Nell, Barbara Jean, Patsy and Anne; 11 grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
