Marilyn was born June 20, 1942 in Toledo, Ohio to Charles Anthony Peyton and Ethel Delores McCloud. She confessed in Christ at and early age, and was baptized at First Church of God. She briefly attended Christian Community Church, and Cornerstone Church. She renewed her membership with First Church of God and remained a member until her death. During her youth, Marilyn enjoyed caring for younger siblings. She was passionate about socializing with her family. She loved to travel, especially when it came to attending her family reunions. She wanted so much for her family to stay together.
As a young woman she loved to roller skate at the Belmont Enterprise and the Rollercade. She enjoyed spending quiet moments with her daughter, crocheting, sewing, making jewelry and doing crafts. Marilyn attended Edward Drummond Libber High School and Gunkle Elementary School. She married Ellsworth J. Ottrix Sr. Of Cleveland, Ohio in 1959. To this union three children were born. Years later, she met and married her current husband of 44 years, Alfred R. Dale of Flint, MI.
Marilyn worked various professions. She spent several years at John Mansfield Fiber Glass Co. And Champion Spark Plug Co. She retired from G.M. Power Train of Toledo, Ohio, as a precision grinder, also during that period she was a member of the U.A,W Local 14 Women’s Committee. She was preceded in death by parents, Charles Anthony Peyton and Ethel Delores Davis-Jackson, brothers Billy Hutchinson of Chicago, Richard Lee and Jeffrey Lynn McCloud Sr. granddaughter Nino Ottrix, ex-husband Ellsworth J. Ottrix Jr. stepmother Trell Peyton, brother-in-law Robert Dale, stepdaughters Alphia and Eva Simbler.
Marilyn leaves to cherish her memories, sons Ellsworth J. Ottrix III (Tino), Eldwin G. (Rashea) Ottrix Sr. (Tono) of Toledo, foster son Bright (Bridget) Alawuru of Virgina, special son William Dula of Michigan, daughter Maria V. Bryant (Tink) of Toledo, brothers Robert (Gloria) McCloud Sr., William (Octovia) McCloud of Toledo, Leonard (Anne Rose) Hutchinson of Las Vegas, Sonny (Darlene) Hutchinson of Chicago, special brothers Arthur (Shelia) Green of Toledo, sisters Marcia Jean Ann Jackson, Nell Jackson of Toledo, and Tia Peyton of Florida, brother-in-law Leon Jackson, Joseph (Pamela) Dale of Flint, MI. sister-in-law Corine McCloud, Helen Releford -Conway of Seattle, Washington, 23 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren. Along with a host of other nieces, nephews, cousin, and friends.
