Obituary for Corey Lamont Bowman Jr.

Corey Lamont Bowman Jr.
Corey Lamont Bowman, Jr., affectionately known as “CJ”, 22, was born June 21, 1994 in Toledo, Ohio to the union of Corey, Sr. and Monica. CJ was an alumni of Sylvania Northview High School. While in attendance, he was a star player for the Varsity football team as a Wide Receiver and Running Back. CJ was Most Valuable Player in 2011 and 2012. it was known that “anytime he got his hands on the rock” his innate skill and determination made him a coast to coast “threat”. Not only was CJ a talented player on offense, his hustle and punishment tackling style made him an effective DB as well. His presence on the field made everyone woke up and paid attention. His talent was truly something special to watch. CJ received many awards for his talent, contributions and love of the game.
CJ was a selfless young man who had a compassionate and loving heart. He was always eager to help others, often putting their needs before his own. CJ was taken from us suddenly on September 10, 2016. He
will be missed by all who knew him. He leaves to cherish his memory his only child, Korie Bowman (girlfriend, Samara and daughter, Noani); father, Corey Bowman, Sr.; mother, Monica (Sean) Frazier; siblings, Sondra, Janell, Brittany and Bryce also Timmar and Omari which he loved like siblings; grandmothers, Jacqueline and Karen; aunts, Ronetta (Ronald), Katina (Joseph) and Latrina; uncles, Kevin, Eric and Harold; three nephews: Lamarion, Dayvion and Zayvion; one niece, Ka-Maya.
