Obituary for Ella M Hill (Ballard)

Ella M. Ballard-Hill, 82 was born on May 26, 1934 in Monroe, Louisiana, passed away in her home on August 10, 2016 in Toledo, Ohio. She was the Beloved wife to Theo Hill Jr. for 67 years. Loving daughter of the late Mattie (Brown) Ballard and Ben Ballard Sr., Ella was the youngest of 8 children. Ella now joins her family who preceded her in death, her parents Mattie and Ben Ballard Sr., her 3 brothers Ed Ballard, Clarence Ballard, Ben Ballard Jr., her 3 sisters Ernestine Darrington, Rosalie Ballard-Neal, Beatrice Ballard-Johnson, Ella’s 3 daughters Evone Hill-Turner, Dianne Hill-Brodie and Beverly Hill in heaven.
Ella is survived by her sister Ruby Ballard-Harris, and her 5 beautiful children, 3 girls and 2 boys, Sharon Hill-Woods (Germain) Michigan, Marsha Hill (Ohio), Ellen Hill (Michigan ), Eric Hill ( Anja ) Ohio, Christopher Hill ( Amanda ) Ohio.
Ella worked for Toledo Hospital as a Nurses Aid for 20 years and retired in 1989. Ella was a faithful Christian and member of Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, Toledo, Ohio for many years. She was loved and will be missed by many.
Funeral Service will be held at The House of Day Funeral Service, 2550 Nebraska Ave. Toledo, Ohio 43607, on Tuesday, August 16, 2016, Family Hour at 10:00 am, and Funeral Service at 11:00am. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1502 West Central Ave. Toledo, Ohio 43606,
