Obituary for Cynthia Alexander

Affectionately known as "Chef C," Cynthia Alexander, 55, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 16, 2015, at her home in Greenwood, IN. She was a graduate of Bowsher High School in Toledo, OH. Cynthia truly adored her family and began cooking at the early age of 5. She fulfilled her passion of becoming a trained chef by earning a Culinary Arts degree from The Chef's Academy in Indianapolis, IN. Whenever asked about the ingredients in any of her specialty dishes, her infamous, proud response was always "I made it with LOVE!" Forever cherishing her memory are her mother, Loretta (Harold) Thomas, of Toledo, OH; daughter, Tiffany Holton; son, Burrow T. (Shemekia) Alexander Sr., both of Toledo, OH; brothers, Pastor Stanley E. (Pamela) Clark Sr. and Dexter Clark, both of Toledo, OH; sister, Stacey Mays (Kevin) Douglas of Chicago, IL; 10 grandchildren; 7 aunts and uncles; 18 nieces and nephews; 7 stepsisters and brothers; 7 stepchildren, and a host of special friends and family members. Family Hour/Wake Service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2015, with the HomeGoing Celebration to follow, 11 a.m., at United Vision Baptist Church, 821 E. Manhattan Blvd., Toledo, OH 43608. Pastor Stanley E. Clark Sr., Officiant. The House of Day Funeral Services will be caring for the arrangements.
