Obituary

Willie Mae Stephens was born on August 22,1936 to Johnnie Mae Lowry and Jack Webb in Montgomery, Alabama. In 1946 she attended Sandtown High School in Elmore County, AL, where she later married Tommie L. Stephens at the age of 16. She had her first child, Dorothy J. Stephens. In 1954-1958, she moved to Buffalo, New York, where she resigned for 3years. She then moved on to Brooklyn, New York where she took a trade in driving semi-trucks. Later she moved to Toledo, OH in 1970, where she met Mr. Jessie L. Maddox and had her second, daughter Jacinta E. Stephens and two sons, Tyrone L. Stephens and Michael A. Stephens Sr. Willie Mae loved to dance, fish and listen to her blues and always cracked jokes.

She is preceded in death by her son, Tyrone L. Stephens; mother, Johnnie Mae Lowry; father, Jack Webb; sister, Marie Collins; brother, Jack Webb Jr.; grandson, Me'Quael C. Stephens; nephew, Isaiah Lowry Sr.

She leaves her memories to her children, Dorothy, Jacinta and Michael Stephens Sr. of Toledo, OH; brother, Nathaniel Webb (Jacksonville, FL); her grandchildren, Nicole Stephens, Tamara Stephens-Reves (Zerrick), Nathan Feagin, Natasha Feagin, Dominque Stephens, Marcus Stephens, Dyshell Russell, Terika Simpson, Gregory Cross Jr., Bre’Anna Stephens, Brittany Stephens, Rodney Tilman, Quentin Kenney, Michael Stephens Jr., Davion Wilson, Nychell Bibbs, Myanna Stephens, Jay’Miah Robinson, Channa Smith-Stephens, Makayla Stephens, Tania Stephens, Mateo Stephens, MiKing Stephens; great grandchildren, Chameng Helm, Stephanique Cox, Sai’Tazia Stephens, Sir Maddox, Larry Sheppard, Nikeya Lopez, Talyla Rocker, Alyla Russell, Audrey Cunningham, DaMichael Cunningham, Taylen Porter, Caden Cohen, Noe’a Cohen, MarQuis Barringer, My’Ora Barringer, Gianni Cross, Mar’Quael Stephens, Me’Quael Stephens, Tanyla Stephens, Makinzi Stephens, Madison Stephens, Melanie Watkins, and Nari Hill; great great grandchildren, Stephen Cox, Samariona Cox, Savonjae Cox, Sylar Cox, Syara Cox, Jovon Burton, Jeremiah Crosby, Jamaree Fenderson, and Amiylah Maddox.
