Obituary for William Madison Bush

William Madison Bush was born to Charles Bush and Katherine Hill on April 18, 1939. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, son William (Yogi) Bush, brothers, John Bush and Darryl Fleming.

Billy, as he was known by all, was reared in Toledo. He and his brother John went to live with their father and stepmother at the age of 10. Billy had a passion for playing basketball with the neighborhood guys. He was always in trouble for not telling anyone where he was going and being late for his curfew. After moving to California, he became a karate enthusiast, earning a black belt. He was an avid San Fransico 49ers fan. He loved sci-fi movies and for some reason, the Simpsons.

At an early age, Billy discovered that he was talented and good at making furniture and re-upholstering older pieces of furniture. He made a marble top end table that remains in his sister's home. His major in High School was carpentry and metal design. He graduated Jesup W. Scott HIgh School in 1957. He retired as a machinst and returend to work after retirement because he was bored.

Soon after graduation, he married his long-time girlfriend, Patricia McCorvey. To this union was born five children, daughters: Marquetta (Charlie) Allison, Sherry (Elmer) Fox, Terry (Donald) Hood and Tracey Bush. Also surviving are his duaghter, Valencia (Charles) Stanley and son, Trevor Jones.

Billy was blessed to have twenty-two grandchildren and thirty-one great grandchildren; sisters, Pamela Bush-King, Cynthia (James) Scott, Cheryl Bush, Delia Harrison, and Jacqueline Perry; brothers, Forest Fleming, Just (Romeo) Taylor, and Jackie McFallins, as well as a host of relatives and friends.
