Will Anthony White Sr. was born August 21, 1970 to John White Jr. and Linda (Allen) Utley in Toledo, Ohio. He departed this life on February 17, 2020 at the age of 49, surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his brother John “Curtis” White.
Will was raised in the North End “Out Stickney” by his Grandmother Mimia Allen and was known by the nickname “Did” by his family and childhood friends. He graduated from Calvin M. Woodward High School and went on to serve for 6 years in the United States Navy, where he was Honorably Discharged. While in the Navy, Will received certification in HVAC and served as a military Fireman. Shortly after leaving the Navy, he began to work for Chrysler Jeep in Toledo, where he worked for almost 24 years. While at Jeep he served in multiple positions for the UAW Local 12 Union, one of which was Chief Union Steward. He was also a Team Leader at Jeep for many years and was a Certified Mechanic at Jeep at the time of his passing. Additionally, Will was a proud member of Composite Lodge #108 Prince Hall Free and Accepted Masons.
For several years, Will volunteered as a coach for various sports his children participated in. He was a lover of movies, fishing, and Jamaican music. He also loved the game of football and was a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. He was very talented, he enjoyed building things, and making others laugh and smile. Those that knew him well experienced his adventures spirit. Everyone that knew him would say he was caring, generous and the life of the party.
Will leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 22 years, Terrina White, three children, William, Will Jr., and Nakiya White, two God-daughters, Tanijah and Tajanae Kynard, a brother Lonacy (Azure) Utley, a sister, Brandy Utley, a uncle who was like a brother to him, Richard Allen, his father John, his mother Linda, his grandmother Mimia Allen, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.
