Obituary for Wanda Yvette Lee

On Wednesday, August 19, 2020 our beloved Wanda Yvette Lee, loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, was called to heaven at the age 58. Wanda was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 3, 1962 to Amos and Janice Lee.

She attended Scott High School and became a cheerleader. Wanda later had five children, whom she often told she was very proud of.

Wanda worked assembly line at AP Parts for years before deciding to become an STNA. After receiving her license Wanda worked as an STNA at Point Place for nine years. She left to begin working at Foundation Park Alzheimer's Center for three years, until her passing. She had a deep passion for her patients and co-workers. "My girls at work" is how she would often refer to them. Wanda looked forward to going to work and seeing her patients, they were more like her second family.

Wanda enjoyed being out with family and friends and spending time with her children and grandchildren. But there was nothing more she looked forward to than attending the Jazz Festival, in Cincinnati, with family and friends every year. She was an avid music lover of all genres. Wanda was known fer her infectious laugh, dancing and out going free spirit. Wanda was a gentle, giving person who would often share her home with almost anyone no matter their circumstances, you always had a place at Wanda's. She will be missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her father, Amos Lee; grandmother, Beatrice Drayton; uncle, Delbert; niece, Denise; and best friend, Yolanda Stewart.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Janice (Lee) Overton; son, Kevin (Betsy) Lee; daughters, Diane Lee, Brasheai Leake, Tonique Flunder, Bobbette Lee; sisters, Michelle (Shawn) Booth, Vicki (Lee) Pratt, Yvonne Stone, Denika Crampton; brothers, Alvin (Tryna) Lee, Michael Coffee; 15 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; special cousin, Natalie Lee; godsons, Jamail Plodzik, Sammy Stuart and many special nieces, nephews, cousins, family and a host of friends.
