Obituary for Valerie D. O'Neal
Valerie Deneen (Foster) O'Neal was born September 15th 1964 in Toledo, Ohio and ascended to heaven April 6th 2023 at her home surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by both her parents, Louis and Bernice Foster Jr.
Valerie became a member of St. Mark's Missionary Baptist Church at a young age, under the leadership of Reverend I. J. Johnson, founding Pastor. Valerie had a sense of humor and would make a joke out of anything, she enjoyed life. She loved spending time with her family and extended family, especially her grandchildren. Her humorous remarks will be greatly missed.
Valerie attended the Toledo public school system, Lincoln Elem., Robinson Jr. High, and Macomber Whitney. Valerie was employed at St. Luke's Hospital where she was a dedicated, 30 plus year employee working both in dietary and housekeeping.
Valerie was such a pleasure to be around, and an awesome cook, her mac and cheese was her family's favorite dish she prepared. A few of her favorite things to do was go to the casino with her sister and her Aunt Dean and take long road trips while listening to the blues.
Valerie is survived by her life partner Robert L. Sandifer, her four children Keona Foster, Aljanon, Cierra and Brandon Sandifer, seven grandchildren, Keonn, Keanon, Kesan, Aljanon Jr., Mia, Brandynn, Paul Jr., her only Sister Anita (Sonny) Rodgers, and her favorite niece Keyona (Ramon) Foster and a host family, extended family and friends.
