Obituary for Thomas Eugene Douglas

Thomas Douglas, 60, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away suddenly on August 20, 2020. Thomas was born in Toledo on January 9, 1960 to Fred and Lillian Douglas.

He attended Lincoln Elementary from kindergarten to 6th grade, where he was on the honor roll. He then attended Robinson Jr. High where he also excelled academically, staying on the honor roll and taking honors classes. Thomas was a 1979 graduate of Jesup W. Scott High School. While there he was in the marching band for all four years, and he also learned how to play the tuba. After high school, he took classes at Comtact at the Scott Park Campus.

Thomas worked for the Rosa Morgan Senior Center for many years as a transportation specialist, until he injured his back in a traffic accident. He was also employed at Toledo Building Service. He soon retired due to back injuries.

Thomas loved helping people. He enjoyed being around his family and friends. He also was a loving and caring uncle to all of his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed walking and socializing with his family and friends. Also, a big passion of his was cooking.

At a very young age Thomas accepted Christ. He loved going to church and he loved the Lord.

Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Fred Douglas and his brother, Daryl Douglas.

Thomas is survived by his mother, Lillian Douglas; brothers, Fredrick Lamont Douglas, Gary Wilson, Henry Douglas, Keith Lyons, Thomas Douglas, Jason R. Douglas, Tarmen Douglas; sisters, Freddie Mae Douglas, Candis Wilson, Constance Regina Douglas; and a host of nieces, nephews and dear family and friends.
