Obituary for Theresa Hughes
Ms. Theresa Hughes, of Toledo, OH, departed this life at the age of 80, on October 11, 2020.
She was born to the union of Mr. Arthur Rice and Mrs. Mary Williams on September 1, 1940. She was educated through the Toledo Public School System. She then became a daycare provider for many years. She was also a life-ling member of Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend Coleman. Ms. Hughes enjoyed skating, bowling, and playing cards. She was notorious for her nourishing meals that she prepared and spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by both parents, Mr. Arthur Rice Sr. and Mrs. Mary and Mr. Napoleon Williams, two sons, George J. Hughes and Brian K. Hughes; grandson, Brian K. Hughes Jr.; brothers, Arthur Rice Jr and Larry D. Rice; sisters, Truda M. Johnson, Alice M. Knox and Luella Reed.
She is survived by her daughters, Antoinette Rice and Wanda Rice-Collins; sons, Michael N. Hughes, Darrin L. Hughes, Richard A. Hughes; seventeen grandkids, twenty-eight great grandkids, sis great-great grandkids, as well as special friends, Donna Shirley, Reva, Alma, Peggy, Nancy, Vanessa, and Brenda.
