Obituary for Terry Eugene Watkins Sr.

Terry Eugene Watkins, Sr. was born in To-ledo, OH on June 16, 1961 to Hubert and Marie Watkins. He is preceded in death by his father, Hubert Watkins and brother, Hubert Watkins, Jr.

He was baptized at an early age at Bethel Apostolic Temple under the leadership of the late Elder Ernest Cross and was a faithful member. As a young man, Terry excelled in Bible knowledge and, at times, was considered to have a photo-graphic memory.
Terry graduated from Macomber-Whitney High School in 1979 and then attended The University of Tole-do. He then worked for Medical Mutual for a number of years; Columbia Gas of Ohio for 10 years and at the time of his passing was employed at the Department of Public Utilities, Water Division where he had worked for the last 14 years.

Terry possessed an infectious personality which drew people to him. He was a very articulate and outgoing person. He loved fine clothing, shoes, watches and cars. He loved being the life of the party, dancing, telling jokes and living life. He loved his two sons and his family dearly and was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Carol Watkins; his beloved mother Marie Watkins; children, Terry Watkins, Jr. of Chicago, IL and Christo-pher Watkins; sister, Claudette “Suzee” (Duane) Shuler; aunts, Claudia Spidell and Julia Echols; cousins, Michael, Jessie, Phillip, Diane, Lorenzo, Carolyn, Cynthia, Darrin (Lee), April, Ken, Eddie, Lullianne, and Shawn; nephews, Devond Sr. (Finese), Ryan Jr. (Gill), Rashad (Ashlei) Shuler of Columbus, OH; nephews and nieces, Devond, Jr., Ryan, Jr., Sharryia, Rylee, Shuler; best friend, George Holmes and a host of other family members, friends as well as his coworkers at DPU Water Division.
