Obituary for Tearetha Crittington
Tearetha Crittington was born March 31, 1946, in Toledo, Ohio, to Edna M. Moore. She was affectionately known as "Lil T", "Terri" and "T.C." by loved ones and friends. She departed this life on Thursday, January 7, 2021.
Tearetha dedicated her life to Christ at a young age under the tutelage of Pastor C. L. Jones. Her love of Christ is what made her spirit so warm and loving towards others. She always made those she encountered feel loved and special. Her spirit of caring for others showed through her actions.
Tearetha worked for over 32 years at the Toledo Mental Health Center, where she was dedicated to the care of others and made lasting friends. She retired and enjoyed life with her family and life long friends she made through her work.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Crittington; mother, Edna M. Green; mother, Tearetha Jones; father, Mack Jones; her brothers, Ned Hamilton, Robert Hamilton and Ivory Green; sister, Erie Green; and step-son, Willie Paul.
Tearetha leaves to cherish her memory, her two loving daughters, Gina Collins and Tara Cleveland; step-son, Woodrow Crittington; grandchildren, Clint Abernathy, Khalil Smith, Tianna Smith, Kameron Cleveland; her siblings,sisters, Annette Green (Joe), Gidget Green (Mark), Fannie McWhite (Benny); and her brothers, Floyd Green and Dennis Green (Donna); special nieces, Rhonda Hamilton (Ray), Ivyonne Hackney and Carmella Crittendon (Charles); a host of nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends that she loved and cherished. Fondly known as the "3 Amigos", she leaves her best friends, Shirlene Crittendon and Estella Jackson.
