Obituary for Tarrolyn L. Smith
Tarrolyn entered peacefully into eternal rest from St. Anne Hospital at the appointed time of 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2020.
Tarrolyn was preceded in death by her grandparents, Frank Overton, Lillie Bell Clark, William and Mary Jenkins. Tarrolyn L. Overton-Smith was a long-time resident of Toledo where she attained her Nursing Degree and Adult Family Living Home under the leadership of her mother. Tarrolyn loved and cherished her children, Antonio Overton, Seniquina Overton, Imari Overton, Dominque Allen, Ashley Quinney, Donell Smith Jr., Dontae Smith, Dominque Roberts, DoJuan Smith; and her loving grandchildren, Alazia Walker, Antonio Overton Jr., Jaden Basinger, Antwan Overton, Alexa Overton, Royalty Overton, Ronald Carter, Cayla Milburn, Kamari Foster, Fabian Foster III, Naszier Craft, Zyier Craft, Aniyah Wilson, Alayah Yopp, Marquees Smith, Antonio Smith, Jazzmine Smith, Dominique Roberts Jr., D'Angelo Antonio Roberts, and Lei'Lah Roberts.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, wife, and avid dancer. She enjoyed family and friends being together at family functions and get togethers. Tarrolyn had a heart of gold, her home was always open. She did not know what alone time was. She was a kind and loving person. She thought she could take care of the world.
Tarrolyn adored and loved her husband, Donell Marty Smith, they were inseparable! Her mother, Joyce Ann Overton-Hughley was her best friend for life. Her father, Preston Jenkins, was the best dad and grandfather ever; her sisters, LaTonya Overton, Melissa Jenkins, Tamecca Lee, and Dawne Wright; her only brother, Kino Hendricks; her favorite uncles, Jeffery (Bey) Jordan and Michael Overton; a host of aunts, uncles, brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
