Obituary for Takesha Lynn Thompson

Takesha Lynn Thompson, 45, returned to her heavenly home on January 5, 2021. She was born October 5, 1975, in Toledo, Ohio, to Tyrone Sutton and Annie Kirkland, at St. Vincent Hospital. Takesha graduated from Scott High School in 1994. She loved her craft as a barber and was affectionately known as, "Kesha da Barber". Takesha was also impactful and a well known musician in her community.

Takesha was a devoted member of Kingdom Harvest Christian Center in Toledo, Ohio, where Pastor Johnny and Prophet Danelle Bonds served as her leaders. She was in training to become a licensed evangelist in the ministry. Takesha was all about souls being saved and loved, getting out in the community to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She also enjoyed taking ministry trips with her church family. Takesha was a beloved member of Kingdom Harvest Christian Center and will be missed, because your seat will be empty. 1 Samuel 20:18.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Jessie Coleman and paternal grandmother, Lavern Sutton.

Takesha leaves to cherish her memory, her parents, Tyrone Sutton and Annie Kirkland; step-mother, Rowena McLain; brothers, Dennis Thompson and Richard McLain; sisters, Katrina McLain and Tamekio McLain; nephews, Jordan Pete and Jaheim McLain; nieces, Alye'jah Wadley, Jahkya McLain and Taylya Tucker; god sister, Wilene Poindexter; aunt, Jackie Moore; great aunts, Lynn Tylor, Alma Sutton, Michelle Owens, Debra and James Williams; great uncles, Garry Sutton, and Jerome Sutton; and a host of other loving family and friends.
