Obituary for Shirley Ann Hobbs

Shirley Ann Hobbs, 68, was welcomed home by God on Sunday, April 26, 2020. She served the cities of Chicago and Toledo well as a Mail Handler for the United States Postal Service for over 30 years before retiring to Toledo, Ohio in 2004. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gladys “Tamper” and Mattie Mae Tyson; her nephew Kennan Tyson Skelton; her sister Darlean Tyson-Skelton; her brother Coleman T. Tyson and; her brother Arnold Tyson. She leaves to mourn her passing 2 sons, Derrick (LiTrina) and Anthony (Sherlette) Hobbs; 1 grandson, Eric Anthony Hobbs; 3 granddaughters, Khadirah Saiidah, Kristyn Dominique and Shirley B. Hobbs; 1 great-grandson, Destin Shiron Gaston; 2 brothers, Paul E. (Carolyn) Tyson and Charlie W. (Flora) Tyson; 2 sisters, Katie L. Taylor and Mary G. Tyson, and many relatives and friends. The homegoing service (followed by cremation) will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. at The House of Day Funeral Home, 2550 Nebraska Avenue, Toledo, Ohio.
