Rosiland Pettaway was born on November 15, 1948, to Leroy and Faye Holloway who preceded her in death. She passed away peacefully on April 4, 2020 at UTMC.
She graduated from Scott High School and later attended Davis Junior College where she earned her Associate's Degree in Interior Design.
At a young age sewing was her passion. She also loved garage sales and rummage sales and gardening. Rosiland loved going to church and was an evangelist at Christian Fellowship C.O.G.I.C. under the leadership of Pastor Thurman Jefferson.
On several occasions Rosiland’s dialysis drained her energy causing her to be weak and sickly. In spite of how she felt; Rosiland demonstrated her-selfless dedication to her usher/hospitality duties at at Perfecting Church of Toledo Ohio, under the pastorate of Bishop Marvin Winans.
She cherished her business that was named after her father and three children LE TAJE Fashions.
She leaves behind her three children Ernest May, Tarah Ellis, and Jeanine (Robinson) Ellis.
She also leaves behind her brothers and sisters Roy (Sandra) Holloway, Tyrone (Delores) Holloway, Claudia Nettles, Pamela (Brad) Holly, Barbara Richardson, Janice Holloway, and Beverly Payne. She was preceded in death by her brothers Vernon Holloway, Bruce Holloway, Willie (Diane) Grace and sister Patricia Holloway. She also leaves behind her 90 years young, aunt, Rosemary Elmore. a host of nieces and nephews, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She will be missed by her family, clients and friends. Anyone who ever met her found Rosiland to be a friend. Her smile and her beauty was infectious. We will miss her cooking and sewing.
We loved her and saw her to be a wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, friend, a great grandmother and just an all-around wonderful person. We loved her and we know she is happy with our Father in heaven. If you met her once you met a friend.
