Obituary for Roosevelt Hearn

Roosevelt Hearn was born October 30, 1933 in Grenada County to the late Nannie B Worship and Sam Hearn. He departed this life on Monday, February 8, 2021 in the care of Hospice. He was preceded in death by both parents, brothers George and Billy Hearn. Sister Ollie Dale.
Roosevelt was united in holy matrimony to the late Doretha Hearn in 1954. To this union, two children were born. Roosevelt was employed as a custodian worker at McDonald’s for many years.

Roosevelt’s had a passion for helping others. As a result of his generous spirit, patience, pleasant personality and his love for others. One of Roosevelt’s main accomplishment was that he provided low cost housing for others by way of rental properties. His jovial character was also known by many. He steered clear of mischief and entertained himself with horse racing and card games with his friends.

In the earlier stages of his life as well as in his latter days, he would visit church services with his sister Ollie where he enjoyed the opportunity to hear and receive the Word of God. Indeed, his life was one of sharing all that he possessed. He loved and was easy to be loved.

Roosevelt leaves to cherish his memory, son Eddie Hearn of Toledo, Ohio; daughter Pearl McKinney of Memphis TN, daughter Rosie (Richard ) Mesley of Toledo, Ohio. Brother’s Crawford Hearn and Paris Burnley. Sister’s Margarette Dean and Bonnie Joyce Grant. Four grandchildren, Eddie Hearn Jr., Steven (Victoria) McKinney, Antionette (Shaiem ) Hampton, and Richard David Mesley and 4 Great-Grandchildren and a host of loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
