Rodney Allen was born on, February 22, 1967, to Vernon and Elizabeth Fitchpatric-Allen, in Toledo, Ohio. On Monday, April 17, 2023, after a courageous battle, he went to be with the Lord. His wife Gwen, children and family members, kept a continuous vigil at his bedside, during the last weeks of his illness. Gwen continued to read, "The Love Languages Bible", at his bedside until God called him home.

He acknowledged God's favor on his life and often shared stories about how grace had saved him more than once. He was a kind, loving and generous man that was committed to his family. He was known as a man who consistently marched to the beat of a "different drummer", following his own path.

He jointly owned, Keep it Moving ,LLC, and most recently worked for Cassens Transport. Rodney's interests and hobbies included fishing, shooting pool, playing board games and his favorite, dominoes.
