Robert "Bobby" Lockett Sr. was born on December 22, 1938 in Toledo, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parent's Patrick and Rosalee Lockett, wife Marilyn Louise Lockett, daughter D'Lana Lockett, brother's Francis (June) Lockett, James (Brother) Lockett, Morris Lockett, sister's Marie Lockett, Eunice Heard, Thelma Wilson, Willa McNair, Beulah Reed, and Jean Cantrell.

He leaves to cherish his memory son Robert (Skeebo) Lockett Jr., grandson Rob¬ert Lockett 111, granddaughter Lindsey Lockett, great-grandson Kaine, brother Pat¬rick Lockett, sister Nancy Glover, and a host of nephews, great nephews, nieces, great nieces, and a multitude of cousins. Bobby was blessed with many life-long friends, Prentice Anderson, Mose Glover, Bunk Adams, James Strange, Eddie Glover, and many more.

Bobby attended Gunckel also known as Dukemore college and was hailed as one of "Emory Leverette's Boys" He was a graduate of Libby High School and he played football and basketball for the Cowboy's .. He served in the Army Reserve at Fort Jackson N. Carolina. He was a man for all seasons.and was blessed with many talent's. His accomplishments are well noted throughout his life. In the sixties he moved with his wife and baby girl to Lincoln Nebraska. He secured a job as a prison guard while attending Wesleyan College. He also competed in the Golden Gloves there and managed to secure 2 decisions in the fights he had. In 1969 he was appointed as coordinator to a new pilot program granted to the city and man¬aged by the Toledo Police Dept. The Toledo Police Aide Program sponsored through E.O.P.A. which proved to be a success for the city,

He established, and managed, the Bobby Lockett School of Dance. He and his wife attended the Inauguration of Ronald Reagan in 1981. He was actively in¬volved in Toledo Politics, and often served as a volunteer in community services in the Warren Sherman and Toledo Olde Towne communities. He held a position with the state of Ohio as an investigator for the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles and re¬tired from that position in 2000. He mentored many youth's in his neighborhood, especially the boy's.

He never tired of being inventive, doing good and keeping busy! He was the fami¬lies BBQ guy, and from that experience, which he loved, he became one ofTole¬do's well-known BBQ Vender's, "Mr. Bob's Que-the Sauce is Boss". Catering throughout the city and neighboring communities in Lucas County.

He loved sports, and his favorite teams were Pittsburgh Steelers and Michigan Wolverine's. He looked forward to meeting with "The Old Dog Crew" at McDonalds, and J Frank Troy Senior Center.
