Obituary for Renzie Lamar Williams

Renzie Lamar Williams Sr. was affectionately known as Ice Berg Slim. Lamar was born July 24, 1972 to the union of Renzie Williams and Lillie B. Williams in Toledo, Ohio.

Renzie Lamar Williams departed this life suddenly on July 17, 2020 in Toledo, Ohio.

Lamar was an avid sports car driver. He loved playing video games, riding motorcycles, fixing up old cars, and he also attended truck driving school.

Lamar was a doting grandfather and he loved to have fun with his family.

Lamar confessed his life in Christ at an early age, while attending St. Mark's Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. I. J. Johnson.

Lamar often talked about how good God was to him throughout his good days and his bad days, and how the Lord kept him.

Renzie Lamar Williams was preceded in death by his mother, Lillie B. Williams; grandmother, Rosie Williams-Young; and grandfather, Curry Williams Sr.

Renzie Lamar Williams leaves to cherish his loving memory, his wife, Amanda Williams; father, Renzie (Jacquelle) Williams, sons, Ty'Ren De'Jon Marquis Byrd and Renzie Lamar Williams Jr.; daughter, Anissa Rena Hall-Alabama; brothers, Brandon (Shenelle) Williams, Price Williams-Watkins; Clever Williams-Watkins, Prentiss Williams, and Michael Thomas; sisters, LaToya Williams, Monique Bert, Joanne Williams-Watkins, Jessica Guice, Leslie Williams, and Darcy West; grandchildren, Tyson Darnell Byrd, Ty'Mere Maurice Byrd, Anietie Udo Asubop III; step-mother, Karen Williams; special cousins, Brian Williams and Carla Tabb; special uncle, Curry "Uncle Bud" Williams; best friend, Maurice ONeal; and a host of family and friends.
