Queen Esther Elmore McCuin, 88, was born October 9, 1932, to Allen Sr. and Lela Elmore in Blythe Ville Mississippi and departed this life on November 30, 2020. She lived down south where she started her family with husband John McQuin. She then moved to Adrian, Michigan where she met her common law Husband Arthur Sails, Sr. and to that union had more Children. In 1969 she moved to Toledo, Ohio where she her raised her family until her passing. Queen accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age. She was a praying soul who always prayed. She loved using blessing oils and loved family very much. Queen was the true definition of our family backbone. She loved cooking and caring for everyone. She would babysit 20 kids at one time. Queen didn’t have much education but she was the wisest women you could have met. Queen worked at the YWCA sewing and worked at High Tech Packaging where she retired. She loved everyone she came across. She really had a heart of gold.
Queen was preceded in death by Common law husband Arther Sails; her husband, John McQuin; her mother and father, Allen and Lela Elmore; sons David, Willie B., Odell and Johnny McQuin; great granddaughters, Kabriah and Amari McQuin; sister; Rose Elmore, brothers; Allen Jr., Bob, Amos, Ecker, and Elmore.
She leaves to cherish her memories her daughters Rose Sailes, Annie Bea Sailes and Rosie Mae; sons, Arther Sailes Jr, Agusta Salies, Allen McQuin, Amos McQuin, Eugene McQuin, Bennie Lee Bankhead; sister, Annie B. Quinn; brother, Willie Elmore; granddaughter, Kenyata (Charley) Rattiff; 90 grandkids, 250 great grand kids, 75 great great grandkids, 20 great great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.
I love you grandma and I appreciate all you have done for me and I am very thankful I was able to take care of you at the end. I love and miss you already, rest in God’s arms till we meet again. I now have my own personal Guardian Angel and I call her Grandma RIHP. Love Kenyata
