Obituary for Milton Ethridge Jr.

Milton Ethridge, Jr. was born August 25, 1930 in Haddock, Georgia to the late Milton Sr. and Ethel Ethridge. He went home to be with the LORD on Sunday, November 17, 2019. He was proceeded in death by his parents, brother Joseph Pound, sister Lillian Webb, son Darrell Cooper and grandson Allen Fantroy. He leaves to cherish his memories sister Thelma Montgomery of Toledo, Ohio, daughter Judy McElroy (Don) of Dayton, Ohio, 5 granddaughters Yolanda Revis of Detroit, Mich, Frances Fantroy and JaNet Allen of Dayton, Ohio, Shana and Crystal Coleman of Louisville, Miss; 1 grandson Greg McElroy of Dayton, Ohio; 6 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren all of Dayton, Ohio. Special friends Ms. Rosa Day of Toledo, Ohio and Mrs. Odie Wells of Detroit, Michigan and a host of nephews, nieces and friends.

Milton came to Toledo at an early age where he attended public school. Later he moved to Detroit, Michigan where he gained employment with the Ford Motor Company. After he retired from Ford, he returned to Toledo, Ohio to be close to family. Milton was a faithful member of Warren A. M. E. Church and truly enjoyed worshiping, singing gospel songs and participating in several ministries with the prison ministry being his favorite. His favorite past-time was found at 2 local senior citizens centers he joined where he enjoyed playing cards, checkers and beating everyone who would play him in a game of pool. Milton was also a proud dad and was especially proud of his grand and great grandchildren.
