Obituary for Michael Bond
Michael Bond. was born August 21, 1961, in Memphis, Tennessee to the union of Roger and Daisy Bond. Michael went to be with the Lord on October 7, 2022.
Michael was a graduate of Libbey High School where he was one of their star football players. Michael’s employment history includes printer and forklift driver at James Rivers Printing, and wet met machine operator at Johns Manville where he worked until his retirement.
Michael confessed Christ later in life and was a faithful member of New Life Church of God in Christ. Michael enjoyed humming to the tunes of “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hand”, reading, spending time with family, telling “unfunny” jokes, and watching his favorite NFL team the Los Angeles Rams.
Michael was preceded in death by both parents and sister Mary Lou Bond-Gladney. He leaves to cherish his memory devoted wife Arlene Ford Bond, son Michael (Brittany) Bond, grand children Jamie Johnson, Michael Lavelle, Jr. and Brielle Dior Bond, siblings Jimmy Bond, Linda (Henry) Bond Taylor, Larry (Dionne), Melvin (Leonette), and Johnny Bond, loving aunts and uncles, and a host of nieces and nephews. Special sister in laws, Danita Bond and Yolanda Butts.
