Medina Charlene Harrison (FUNKY COLD) transitioned peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday March 13th 2021. She was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on November 7th 1960 to Claudia Hamilton Brown.
She later moved to Toledo in 1963. Medina graduated from Devilbiss High School. She met and married Big Tim and soon went to receive her certification as a phlebotomist at Professional Skills Institute. Medina began to build her beautiful family of five children, she then continued in her careers as an STNA and worked plus volunteered for adult and special needs children. She was a certified and AWESOME seamstress + nail tech. Funky Cold was known for her love for cooking and buffets. SHE WAS ALWAYS THE LIFE OF THE PARTY. An avid shopper of garage sales and Goodwills. She loved gardening and could out dance anybody lol. Her favorite songs were “Crush” by Yuna and Usher, “Just fine” by Mary J Blidge, and “Rude Boy” by Rihanna.
She was predeceased by her father Clyde Darrington Sr. and her brother Bradley Darrington. Surviving her loving kids Timothy D. Harrison, Tiera S. Harrison, Moniek R. Harrison, Terrance DJ Allen , and Taylar Allen; her 12 grandchildren, mother Connie Darrington; sisters Asia Greene (Maryland), Denise Meckelvaney (Atlanta); brothers Mel Meckelvaney ( Atlanta), Clyde Darrington Jr. (Missy Toledo); special sisters Rita Wilson and
Angela Dotson; bestfriend Jeanette Martin, and friend Wayne (George), and a host of family and friends.
