Obituary for Matthew Temple

Mathew Louis Temple (ML) was born in Decatur, Mississippi on September 20th 1953 to the late Louis and Queenie Temple. He was the youngest of 18 children. He moved to Toledo at a young age and started a family here. He married Cynthia Edwards and had 3 children from this union.

ML as he was affectionately called, worked for AA Boos Construction Company for many years and retired from the company. After retirement, he still continued to work occasionally for the company driving the trucks. He was a great asset. Before ML became ill, he was an active member of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church and served on the Usher Board..

ML was funny and humorous and deeply loved because of it. He was always able to put a smile on your face. When ML walked into the room, it lit up with his presence. He enjoyed fishing and especially spending time with family and friends. He could build and fix almost anything. He departed this life and went to be with The Lord on Sunday January 17th 2021.

He was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Queenie Temple, and 14 brothers and sisters.

He leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Shaun and Marcus (Free-Starr) Temple; daughter Laquita Temple; brother, Deacon Henry Edward Temple; sisters, Mother Bessie Gardner, Catherine Davis, Margaret (Herbert) Gullatt; 11 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild, and a host of nieces nephews and friends too numerous to mention. ML touched many lives during his time on earth and will be greatly missed.
