Obituary for Matthew Lamar Dishmon
On Tuesday, April 21st, 2020 Matthew Dishmon, loving son, brother, and father, passed away at the age of 56. Matthew was born on May 20th, 1963 in Detroit, Michigan to Linda Dishmon and Matthew Garrett.
He attended Scott High School in Toledo, Ohio. He worked at Arlington Rack & Packaging for many years as a welder, and eventually adopted entrepreneurship with his hands in various things.
Matthew was a man about family. He valued the relationship he had with his brothers and took pride in looking out for them. This love didn’t miss a beat, as he extended his love and care to all those he knew. He loved his family, fishing, cooking, music, his cars, his dogs, and everything dealing with technology. He was also passionate about the food truck he was starting, that was sure to shut Toledo down, Ya Digg?
Matthew is preceded in death by his father, Mattew Garrett, and brothers: Marlon and Maurice.
Matthew leaves to cherish his memory, his loving mother Linda Shaw; his sister: Sonora (Clarence) Byrd; his brothers: Mark Garrett and Michael Garrett; his children: Raven, Dorian, & Javon; his special nephew: Marvon Garrett; his stepson: Antonio Green; special friend Debbie Villolovos, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends.
