Obituary for Marvin Douglas Stewart

Marvin Douglas Stewart

1955 -2020

Marvin Stewart was born in Toledo, Ohio January 20, 1955 to Herbert and Louizer Stewart and entered into eternal rest on October 22, 2020 at The Toledo Hospital. He was the youngest of three sons.



Marvin was preceded in death by both parents, his adoring wife Sherrelle Stewart, his youngest daughter Krystal Stewart, eldest brother James Stewart, brother in law Juan B. Turner, and special aunt Doris Sims.



Marvin was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. He was A graduate of Jesup W. Scott high school class of 73 where he excelled in football. He went on to become a late night radio Dj for A short time where he went by the name Doc. He later became a maintenance electrician at the Nabisco flour Mill where he retired in 2014 after over 30 plus years of service.


On August 29, 1986 Marvin married the love of his life Sherrelle, from that union was born two daughters; Ashley LaDean & Krystal LaShawn. Marvin and Sherrelle along with the children joined Allen Chapel A.M.E church in 1993.


Affectionately known to his two grandkids as "Old Bull" Marvin leaves many to mourn his passing, his loving daughter Ashley (Roosevelt), two grandchildren Heavynnlei' & Montrell Stewart of Toledo; Bradley (Esther) Stewart of Holland Ohio. Mother in law Gloria ( Robert) Turner-Noles of Cleveland. Brother in laws John Turner (Shellakee) of Cleveland, and Robbie Turner (Twanna) of Cheltenham Maryland. And special niece Deborah Stewart of Nashville Tennessee. Along with a host of nephews, cousins, and great nieces and nephews. Marvin also had his beloved White Tower "breakfast club" and special Scott High school alumni and many Nabisco long time friends.


So many will miss this gentle giant, his voice boomed like thunder but his heart brought nothing but sunshine into the lives he touched.
