Martha Ann Hill, was born on, October 25, 1955, in Greenwood, Mississippi, to the union of, Bennie and Lillian Austin Sr.

Martha attended Amanda Elzy High School in Greenwood, Mississippi.

Martha knew and loved the Lord at a young age. She followed the Lord and glorified his name, every day with the time she was given on earth. Martha attended Friendship Baptist Church, under the leadership of Bishop Duane C. Tisdale, from 1986 until May 9, 2020.

Martha was anointed with the Holy Spirit, and was filled with love, compassion, forgiveness and understanding. She believed in listening to the sick spirits, grieving hearts, and the healing of lonely souls. Martha asked the Lord, why do you continue to bless me? He replied, "so you can continue to be a blessing to the people around you". She believed that falling is an accident, but staying down was a choice in which the choices we make, determines our path into the light of God. She knew the Lord would keep her safe, she was not afraid because she knew to be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord. She knew that there is power in prayer, and when it was time to pray, she was not to be disturbed. She prayed for a heart free of sadness, a mind free of worries, a life full of gladness, a body free of illness, and a day full of the Lord's blessings

Martha enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, photography, writing, repairing items, caregiving in which she loved to take care of her Mother, spiritual guidance, neighborhood watch, talking on the telephone, listening to world events on television, great debater, interior decorator, she loved eating and sampling different foods and doing the cupid shuffle and she loved the song Thank you for being a friend on the T.V. show, Golden girls.

Martha passed on 05/09/2020, to be with the Lord. She was preceded in death by Father, Bennie Austin, brothers, Willie Brown, and Charlie Brown and special sister in law, Marie Brown.

Martha leaves to cherish her memories six brothers: Robert (Claire) Brown, Walter (Vera) Brown, Bennie Jr (Dollie) Austin, William (Crystal) Austin, Anthony (Patty) Austin, and David (Lesidia) Scott. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. Psalms 116:15. It is clear that Martha was a precious soul, loving, caring and concerned about others. The Marshall family pray for your strength in the days to come. We are so mindful of how often your family has stood with us, traveling many miles to be with us through the transition of family. We send love, comfort and peace your way in the name of Jesus. Take comfort in knowing that Martha is safe in the arms of Jesus.
