Marion Edwards Winnick was born in Benton County, Mississippi on August 31, 1930 from the union of Prentiss and Virginia Edwards. Marion moved to Toledo, Ohio during The Great Migration in 1945 where she met and married Herman Winnick. Marion , an industrious woman, found work with affluent families as a domestic worker, with Toledo Public Schools and St. Vincent's Mercy Medical Center where she retired. Marion enjoyed raising her garden of flowers and vegetables, listening to country music and watching westerns and classic movies. Her cooking and delicious cakes and pies were enjoyed by her family whom she loved.
Marion is preceded in death by her father and mother, her brothers, Henry Thomas, Philip Edwards, John Edwards, JD Edwards (Shirley) and Louis LC Edwards, sisters, Rosalee Foreman and Ella Chandler and great-grandson, Cameron Lewis.
She leaves to cherish her memory, sister, Magnolia Johnson, sons , Henry (Robin) Edwards, Harold Winnick, Jeffrey Winnick and daughter, Vanessa Winnick., 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
