Obituary for Marcus De'Witt Odoms Jr.

Marcus DeWitt Odoms Jr. was born March 12, 2000 at Riverside Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. He passed away early Sunday morning, September 13, 2020.

Marcus was full of energy and charisma. He kept everyone laughing through the day. He liked to dance even though he had no rhythm. He loved to do impersonations and crack jokes. Marcus’ dreamy and innocent eyes, with that charming smile, you couldn’t help but not get mad. He melted your heart.

Marcus, at an early age, attended Grove Patterson Academy for kindergarten to 5th grade. While there he played basketball. He then attended Gesu Catholic School, playing football, which allowed him to be a part of Mid City Riders Football team. He loved his sports. Marcus attended Achieve Prepatory Academy where he studied Computer/electrical Technology.

He was adventurous, he loved taking chances and learning new ideas and things. He loved his sisters and nieces. Clearly every time he saw them he would always say, “Uncle Babies” with a big sloppy kisses. He loved insects, especially the Praying Mantis.

Marcus was preceded in death by his grandparents, Emma Jean Steward and Edward Earl Steward; and great-grandparents, Juanita Brock and Willie Brock Sr.

Marcus leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Darneathea Steward and Marcus Odoms Sr.; his siblings, Jayla Steward, Cheyenne Steward Winters, Danasia Cole, MaRya Odoms, Ma’Kya Foster, Zenaje Liggons, Jarmais Olinger, Kasper Odoms, ad Kanan Odoms; his uncles, Richard Steward and Dennis Odoms Jt. (Tracee); his loving nieces, Londynn Steward, Paris Huyhh; and nephew, Dallas Huyhh; grandparents, Pamela Brock and Dennis Odoms Sr.; special cousins, Tymar, Tyler, Kenny, and Sarah. He leaves a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and special friends to cherish his memory. He was truly loved and will be deeply missed.
