Obituary for Lucy Mae Glover

Lucy Mae Glover, 83, of Toledo, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on June 4, 2020 at the University of Toledo Medical Center after an extended illness. Lucy was born November 10, 1936 to the union of the late West and Priscilla (Ross) Glover in Lexington, Kentucky, and was the last surviving sibling. She received her education in the Fremont, Ohio public school system.

On May 4, 1952, she was united in marriage to the late Lewis (Schoefield) Wade in Freemont, Ohio, and resided in Fostoria, Ohio. From this union were born five children. While living in Fostoria, she was a member of the First Baptist Church Choir under the pastorage of Reverend Harry M. Crenshaw. She then relocated to Toledo in 1974.

In 1986, she moved to Mansfield, Ohio to be near her mother, sister Delores, and brother McKinley until their deaths. While residing in Mansfield, she united with the Greater Holiness Deliverance Church under the pastorage of her brother, the late Rev. McKinley Glover. She then returned to Toledo, Ohio and was a member of Rossford First Baptist Church under the pastorage of Rev. F. Alexander Sheares where she served on the Mother Board until her departure from this earth.

She was employed with Fostoria Industries, Bendix Auto Parts in Fostoria, and the Rainbow Homes, Inc. in Toledo until she retired.

Lucy Mae Glover was preceded in death by an infant son, Michael Wade; parents, West and Priscilla (Ross) Glover; four sisters, Bobby Joe Scott, Ruth Anne Glover, Dorothy Katherine Glover, and Delores Matthew; six brothers, Charles Scott, William Scott, David Scott, Reverend McKinley T. Glover, West Glover, Jr., and John Glover. Lucy is survived by her devoted friend and caretaker, Otis Brown; her sons, Rev. Anthony N. (Donna) Wade of Columbus, Ohio, Rev. Dennis L. (Deborah) Wade of Columbus, Ohio, Sherman L. Wade of Douglasville, Georgia, and Lewis Wade, Jr. of Mansfield, Ohio; daughter, Zelee M. Porter of Toledo, Ohio; foster-son, Sherman Brown of Columbus, Ohio; 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
