Obituary for La Tasha Danielle "TaTa" Hicks

La Tasha Danielle Hicks was born on March 15th, 1991, in Toledo Ohio to Veronica Hicks-Autman and Jonathan Hicks. La Tasha departed from this life on October 14th, 2022. She is preceded in death by her Father Jonathan Hicks; Grandfathers Warren Miller, Cary Butler, and Keith McClendon.

From birth La Tasha Hicks was a star. She was fascinated with music at an early age which prompted her to start writing and rapping. La Tasha graduated in 2009 from Start High School. While Attending Start, La Tasha was a part of the National Honors Society, Deca, and was on the Sparks dance team. La Tasha enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. La Tasha was the life of the party and she lit up any dull room. Her Smile was infectious! La Tasha was a true fashionista; DESIGNER! This girl loved to shop and dress! La Tasha started working at her Granny Ruby’s (Ma) restaurant at the age of 12. This skill and work ethic at a young age influenced a monumental moment and moments in La Tasha’s life. Tasha was a businesswoman!

Later in life, La Tasha decided to go back to school and obtain her certificate and license in Massage Therapy, graduating from Miller-Motte College in 2016. La Tasha always had a passion for Massage Therapy. This next monumental moment in La Tasha’s life allowed her to be a travel Massage Therapist. She loved to travel. La Tasha loved her nieces and nephews as they were her pride and joy. She also enjoyed the holiday season so she could spend time with her family. There was not a moment when you didn’t see Tasha rapping a new song or constructing lyrics for a new one. Her passion for music was unmatched. Tasha held a special place in everyone’s heart.

La Tasha confessed her life to Christ at a young age. La Tasha had the best of both, she was baptized catholic and was also a Christian. While attending church at a young age, La Tasha was the lead singer of the choir. She loved church and loved the lord.

La Tasha leaves to cherish in her memory her loving mother, Veronica Hicks-Autman; Stepdad Todd Autman; Loving sisters, Dr. Mieasha Hicks Barksdale (Derek), Mariah Coutchure, Jonna Hicks, Sabrena Hicks (Bryce), and Alyssa Autman; Loving brothers Devon Hicks and Trashon Autman; Grandmothers, Agnes Miller, Ruby Butler and Valerie Autman; Great Grandmother Roberta Autman - Cleveland; Nieces, Saniah, Brooklynn, Malaya, Bri’ Elle, Bry’ Leigh and Adelina; Nephews, Jonathan, Chris and Bryce II; Favorite cousins, Jarell Drake, Ashley Broadus, Tarena Chatman, Marshaila Hicks and Jeremy Broadus; Special friend Cynthia Pecina; Bonus kids, Anaya and Tre; and a host of other loving aunts, uncles, family and friends.
