Obituary for Keith Nelson Hall

Keith Nelson Hall, 63, died suddenly on Monday, June 29, 2020 at Mercy St. Vincent Hospital Center. He was the only child born to Marilyn Hall at Riverside Hospital in Toledo.

He lived in Holland, OH with his grandmother until he graduated from Spencer-Sharples High School a year earlier than he was scheduled to in 1973. He later moved to Toledo and met the love of his life, Karen Stubblefield. He worked at DuPont Co. for 20 years until he received his CDL and began to a drive semi-truck for himself and multiple companies until he became unable to do so anymore. He was a charismatic, honest, and sarcastic man. He had no problem telling you the truth about yourself and what he thought of you.

He was a loving man as well especially when it came to his family. He was so proud of his children and grandchildren and did everything he could do to support them in everything they did. He grew up as a member of the Glass City Church of Christ where he loved to hear the choir sing.

Later in life he became a member of United Missionary Baptist Church where he enjoyed hearing the word from his Pastor, Pastor Robert G. Bass. He playfully teased him with his Ohio State Gear whenever they won any college football game. He also loved to watch the Detroit Lions play.

Keith was preceded in death by aunts, Loriece Davis, Arma Lee-Richardson, Elaine Miller, and uncles, Earnest and Ellsworth Hall. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving mother Marilyn Hall; his dedicated wife of 44 years, Karen Stubblefield-Hall; his only daughters, Kim (Willie) Ward and Keisha (Marcus) Hall-Whitiker; grandsons, Jay and Donte' Wells, Marcus (MJ) Whitiker, Jr., and his only granddaughter, Mar'Shay Whitiker, whom he affectionately called "Shay-Shay", that he spoiled with accolades whenever he could; special cousins, Joy Gregory, James, Eric, Sheriece Davis, Ellsworth, Jr,. Charlene, Chris Hall, and a host of other relatives and friends. He will be missed by all that knew him.
