Obituary for Karen Denise Hunt

Karen Allison-Hunt was born September 5,1953 in Toledo, OH. She passed from this life after a long illness on April 8, 2021 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was preceded in death by natural mother Katherine Allison; grandparents Lucious Sr. and Ollie Allison; Aunt Erma Walker; uncles Lucious Jr. and Leon Allison, nephew Omar Allison, and special friend Joyce Coogler.

Karen received Christ at an early age and attended St. Paul AME Zion Church with her uncle Lucious.
She attended Toledo Public Schools and graduated from Libbey High School, and later attended Beauty school in Atlanta, GA., and Toledo Cosmetology School. She also worked in retail and as a receptionist and cashier at Medical College of Ohio (MCO).

Karen enjoyed cooking, shopping, home decorating, doing hair and nails, and spending time with her family. She loved to listen to music, especially her favorite singer Anita Baker. She was a meticulous and well-mannered person and stressed these good habits to her beloved son.

Karen leaves to cherish her unconditional love to her son Corey Allison Sr., grandsons Corey Jr. and Ky’re Allison, great-granddaughter Malonie Allison, mother Betty Brown, brother Tyrone (Patricia) Allison, beloved niece Trina Walker, and friend Jackie Smoot.

She also leaves her memory with her loving nieces and nephews Tyrone (Linda) Allison, Lisa (Winston) Ellis, Evelyn, Josh, Jessica and Karmen Allison and a host of relatives and friends.
