Obituary for Jimmie Lee Patton

Jimmie was born December 31, 1950. He transitioned this life on July 14, 2020.

Jimmie confessed his life to Christ at an early age. He also was a Sunday School super-intender for Camp Creek Missionary baptist Church.

Jimmie was a High school graduate of George Washington Carver High School in Tupelo, Mississippi, where he was employed at Purnell Pride. Shortly after he married the love of his life, they had four children.

Jimmie was a very hardworking man, later moving to Toledo, Ohio in 1975, where he began working at Midwest Products Finishing Inc. He was employed there for 13 years. In his spare time he loved to wash his car, sit at home and watch baseball, and go to his children's house to watch football.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Mae Patton; father, Leodis Patton; mom-in-law, Lennie Young; father-in-law, Rev. Solomon Young; son-in-law, Chuck; sisters, Katherine Westbrook, Betty Patton, Pauline Young, and Earlene Cayson; brothers, Grover Patton and Odell Patton.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Jestine Patton; children, Jimmie Lee Patton, Jr., Latina Quinn, Felicia Patton, and Eric (Shely) Patton; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia Patton; sister-in-laws, Cheryl (Larry) Rainey and Mary (Cornelius) Rainey; a host of nieces and nephews, and several life-long friends. Lastly the family gives a special thanks to Toledo Hospital Medical staff, MCO Medical staff, and Advanced Specialty Medical staff.
