Janie Lee Alexander began her life on March 13, 1955. She departed from this world on April 11, 2020, at the age of 65.
Janie worked as a kindergarten teacher for many years and various other jobs before experiencing health issues. Janie enjoyed her days of babysitting her grandchildren, and living life to the fullest. She was the life of every party and the author of every epic Burnett story ever told.
She was loved by all who came to know her and will be dearly missed.
Janie leaves behind to keep her memory alive, her only child, Melissa Burnett; brother, James Allen; four grandchildren, Latasha (Antonio), Dameion Sr., Darnell Jr., and Raven; three great grandchildren, Serenity, Dameion Jr. and Da'Myrah; four nieces, Melissa, Inez, Veronica (Gerald), Jennifer; one nephew, Harvest, and her beloved aunt, Annie G. Moore, and a host of other family and friends.
