Janice Sharon Slaughter was born on April 24, 1945 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Charles Henry Slaughter and Claudia Slaughter.
She departed this life at St. Vincent Hospital in Toledo, Ohio surrounded by family and friends on April 30, 2021 at the age of 76.
Janice attended Scott High School (once a Bull Dog, always a Bull Dog). She was an avid bowler, once scoring a perfect game of 300 points which led to her name in The Toledo Blade. Janice fulfilled many goals, right after high school she joined the United States Navy. She became a LPN and she also retired from AT&T.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jeffery Wilson; sister, Wilma Slaughter; nephew, Charles Brian Slaughter; and aunt, Thelma, who joined her in passing.
She leaves to cherish with many beautiful memories, brothers, Charles Slaughter Jr. and Mayo Slaughter; sisters, Claudia Slaughter and Carlene Wilson Dudley, of Detroit; aunts, Doris Brown and Lula Brown; and a host of nieces and nephews; special friends, Jacqueline McCown and Robert Church.
