James Edward Jordan, age 71, passed away unexpectedly December 8, 2020 at his home. He was born June 17, 1949 in Owassa Alabama to James and Anne Jordan.
He was a 1967 graduate of Thomas A. DeVilbiss High School, where he was a band member, playing the trumpet, and on the track team, (referred to as Jimmy Jet). James proudly served our country in the United States Marines, and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was a skilled tradesman at Powertrain, retiring in 2015. He loved fishing, especially on his boat, and was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan. He was a member of First Church of God, Toledo.
James was preceded in death by his mother and father, James and Anne Jordan; brother, Alvin Thompson; and sister Patricia Davis. Left to cherish James’ memory is his loving wife of 37 years, Pamela; sons James Jr. and Matthew Jordan; brother Larry (Deborah) Jordan; sisters Gwendolyn Staley (Jesse); Donna Jordan; Tonya Holyfield; and 6 grandchildren; special sister-in-law Florence Blake; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
