Obituary for James Andrew Harden

James Andrew Harden, 76 of Toledo, Ohio transitioned from this life on June 22, 2020 in his home.
He was born May 16, 1944 in Eatonton, Georgia. After moving to Cleveland, Ohio he married Mary Jean Deaner on February 25, 1972. From this union 2 daughters were born. James and Mary raised their family in Toledo, Ohio. James was a hardworking man who took pride in supporting his family. He worked at Michelin Tire for more than 30 years before retiring.

James loved people and was always the “life of the party”; he undoubtedly gave us the gift of laughter! James enjoyed visiting his hometown of Eatonton, Georgia creating memories that are too many to number, but as the saying goes, what happens in Georgia stays in Georgia! James also had a knack for giving people nicknames: Sis Bet, Baby Doll, Goober, Joe Poot, Boob, Champagne, and Skeeta are just a few!
In the early stages of his illness, family and friends would call to check on him, and after every phone call he would remove his glasses to wipe his tears. He knew he was loved, and he loved his family dearly.
He was preceded in death by his mother Harriet Bustion, father Robert Bustion, and sister Vernice Solomon.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Mary Harden, daughters Cheryl Moffatt (James) and Janine Harden; grandchildren Janay and Alyssah Moffatt, Anthony Ellis, Jada Harden, and Lailah Bobo; great-grandsons Dashon Ellis and Karter James Hannah; brothers Robert Bustion Jr., Willie Bustion (Evelyn), Douglas Bustion (Sheila), and Milton Bustion; sisters Veronica Lumpkins, Julia Ann Lewis (Lamar), and Lula Mae Jackson (Sidney); and a host of loving cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
James was indeed one of a kind, unforgettable, and he will be greatly missed.
Due to a variety of circumstances, there will be no funeral or memorial service at this time.
