Mother Irene Ransey was the oldest daughter of 11 children born to the late Isaiah and Alice Parker. She was born April 19, 1927 in Guntown, Mississippi. At an early age she professed her faith in Jesus Christ.
She was united in holy matrimony to Elder Clyde Ransey on her 18th birthday, April 19, 1945. The union was blessed with three children. They were married for 46 years until the Lord called him home. Elder Clyde proceeded her in death on April 12, 1992.
Through the years she worked at St Vincent hospital, as well as, Grainger Nursing home. However, her greatest work was with her family. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She loved to bake, cook, and sew. She also served as the first lady of Ransey Holy Temple, in Mt Clemons, Michigan for 36 years.
She quietly departed this life Thursday, May 21,2020. She was proceeded in death by her two brothers, Osby Parker Sr, and Willie Parker and daughter in law, Doretha Ransey.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: James Keith (Angela) Ransey, Micheal Ransey, and Marvin (Christina) Ransey; six sisters, Luetta Person, Lola Holston, Annie Collier, Susie Burress, Mildred McClendon, and Bessie (Jessie) Crayton; two brothers, Erskin Parker and Luther Parker; god-daughter Mattie Worthy; five grandchildren, James Keith Ransey Jr, LaKeysha Ransey, Elizabeth (Dawson) Ransey, Ashley Ransey, and Andrew Ransey; one great grandchild, Josiah Ransey; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
