Helen Marie Wright was born September 29, 1932 to Henry McCalebb and Josephine Simpson. She departed this life on August 10, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.
Helen attended Libbey High School. She worked for the Darlington House for many years as supervisor in housekeeping then driving the Pelham Bus before she retired. Helen enjoyed going to bingo and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her husband, JC Wright; father, Henry McCalebb; mother, Josephine Simpson; sisters Ella Mae King, Mary McQueen, Charlene McCalebb, and Elizabeth Atkins; brothers, Henry McCalebb, Jr., Leroy McCalebb, Warren Atkins, and James Simpson and daughter, Belinda Jo Wright.
Helen leaves to cherish her precious memories 2 children, Van (Nora) Wright and Sharon Wright; siblings, Vanessa, Lorinda, Layon, and Norman McCalebb; 6 grandchildren, Yolanda Adams, Bevan Beacham, Tamara (Mauricio) Winston, Gary (Chantale) Beacham, Alanthia Copeland, and Terron Rankin; 27, great-grandchildren along with a host of family and friends who she loved dearly.
