Obituary for George Allen Saunders Sr.
Born in Wheeling West Virginia to Williana Reed and George Dow, both preceding him in death.
He was a 1951 graduate of Lincoln High School. George served four years in the U.S. Navy. May 9, 1952 - 1956. He was very proud of serving his country and a great respect for the veterans that have served. He worked for BendiCorel (Autolite) in Fostoria, Ohio for 19 years before retiring in 1994.
While in the service he married the love of his life Willie Mae and they shared 66 wonderful years together.
He was preceded in death by both parents, sister Annetta Smith, George Allen Saunders, Jr. (son)
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Willie Mae Saunders, grand children; Maheka Saunders and George Saunders III, great grandchildren; Lamar Jones, Deveatt Jones, Mariatt Saunders, Mason Jones, Logan Saunders, Lanae Saunders, special niece Michelle Scott, Special friends John and Patricia Lamb.
