Obituary for Freddie Jackson Sr.

Freddie Jackson, also known as Plute, was born on June 13, 1945, in Lumberville, Georgia. He passed away on March 8, 2020, at home, in Toledo, Ohio. He was born to John Jackson and Nellie Bouyer Jackson, Freddie was a life long, devoted truck driver along with his best friend and brother, Billy Jackson, at their family business, Jackson Trucking. They are known as some of the best truck drivers in the city of Toledo.

Freddie was also known to throw down in the kitchen, cooking for his grandkids, family and friends. He would also have you laughing so much, the laughter would turn into a good cry. He will be missed by everyone that knew him. He looked at everyone like family. Once he fed you, you became family He was very big on family. If you lived out of town, he made sure to call call you on a daily basis. He also liked to fix things and grow fruits, vegetables and plants. He helped everyone he knew. He was just that type of person. He will never be forgotten.

When Freddie came to Toledo, he met his first and only love, Juanita (Stewart) Smith Jackson, and she gave him one of the best things a woman could give a man, life, Freddie Jackson Sr., their only son, along with daughters, Monique Smith, Catrina Smith, Destiny McBribe, Vickie Jackson, Denise Jackson, and Evelyn "Faye" Withacker.

Freddie was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Jackson; father, John Jackson Sr.; mother, Nellie Bouyer Jackson; brother, Willie Daniels; brother, John Nathaniel Jackson; and sister, Hellen Jackson.

Left to cherish his memory are his children; siblings, Willie Pearl Britt , John B. of Columbus, GA, Annie Ruth Barnes Charlie of Warthen, GA, Lee Arthur Jackson (Renee) of Atlanta, GA, E'Vgene Jackson (Diane) of Toledo, OH; 16 grandkids; 14 great grandkids; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The Jackson family would like to say Thank You to everyone that called and reached out, just to say that you were there in our time of need.
