Obituary for Evelyn Marie Smith (Stewart)
Evelyn Marie Stewart Smith was born December 16, 1946 to Ruth and Francis Stewart in Toledo, Ohio. She departed this life to gain her heavenly wings on June 13, 2020. She graduated from Libbey High School, Heidelberg College, and The University of Toledo.
Evelyn accepted Christ at an early age. She was a dedicated member of St. Paul AME Zion Church. She served as a choir member, on the Usher Board, Missionary Society, Alter Guild, and Trustee Board. She was also a member of the Interfaith Mass Choir.
Evelyn was employed at Standard Oil (BP Husky), LOF, Omni Source, and State of Ohio Taxation Dept.
Evelyn was preceded in death by both parents, Ruth and Francis Stewart and brother, Francis III. She is survived by brothers, Mark, Hilree, and Terry; sisters. Stephanie, Denise, Cinderella, Sherry, and Nakita; nieces, Stephanie and Danielle; nephews, Martez, Jordan, and Brandon; special friends, Carol, Bobbyette, Cindy, and Anna, and a host of cousins, friends, and other relatives.
