Obituary for Eugene Coley

Mr. Eugene Coley, affectionately known as "Gino", was born December 25, 1967 to Josephine Ward and Douglas Ward in Toledo, OH. He made the transition from this life on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 surrounded by family and love. He started his walk with Christ as a young man at the House of Prayer Holiness Church (H.O.P) under the leadership of Pastor Leonard McMillan. He was so proud to recommit his life under the Pastoral-ship of his younger Brother, Pastor Jeremy D. Coley of (H.O.P.). Eugene loved his rekindled relationship with the Lord.

He attended Woodward High School and received several certificates of completion. He was especially proud of his Correspondence Bible Studies and Cooking certificates.

Gino was a devoted son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He was always willing to reach out and help others. A caring and generous person. Gino loved his family, especially his daughter Faith Ramirez.

Gino loved sports. He was a die-hard Steeler and Lakers fan. Gino had various jobs starting at an early age. He enjoyed construction work and working with his hands.

He leaves to mourn and cherish his memories: his loving and devoted mother Josephine Ward; his only daughter Faith Ramirez; his older sister Valerie Coley who was like a second mother and best friend, sister Joy Coley of Dallas NC; brothers Jeremy and Ivan Coley and Joseph Ward of Toledo, OH, brother Douglas Ward of Pittsburgh, PA; a host of uncles and aunts, special aunt Linda Woodard; a host of nieces, special niece Latoya Coley, nephews, special nephew Steven Coley, cousins and friends.
