Obituary for Eric Timothy Ham

Eric Timothy Ham was born June 1, 1982, in Toledo, Ohio, to Carl Ham Sr. and Albertha (Brown) Ham. He accepted Christ and was baptized at a youthful age while being a member of Spring Street Baptist Church. He renewed his walk with Christ in 2019, while attending Greater Grace Christian Church. Eric was preceded in death by his mother, Albertha Brown-Ham.

Eric grew up in the North End of Toledo “Out Stickney” where he discovered his love for wrestling in Jr. High. He continued to wrestle throughout high school, while also being a dedicated member of the Afro-Club and Yearbook staff, until his graduation from Calvin M. Woodward High School. After graduating from high school he worked for GM Powertrain. Eric went on to attend Owens Community College for two years, before moving to Florida, where he began to pursue his entrepreneur spirit of fashion and marketing. He worked for multiple premier luxury fashion retailers, such as Saks Fifth Avenue, and spent many years working as independent contract promoter for programs and events. Upon returning to Toledo, Eric established himself as a fashion trendsetter with his eclectic way of styling himself and others. He truly could have been a celebrity stylist.

Eric was full of life. His mere presence lit up any room he walked into. All that knew Eric talked about his smile, playful spirit, and his big heart. He loved everyone and everyone loved him. He was that person. No matter what walk in life you took, he made you feel like you were important. Eric could indulge in conversation with anyone, about anything, at any given time. He was a highly intelligent people person, who loved to have a good time. Eric had boundless love for his family. Spending time with family, especially his nieces and nephews, was at the top of his life’s priority list. In addition to enjoying family, he enjoyed designing clothing, reading Comic books, partaking in exquisite foods, and was an extreme movie buff.

Eric leaves to cherish his memory, his father, Carl (Anthea) Ham Sr., three sisters, Terrina White, Anita (Ronald) Birchfield, and his twin sister Erica (Tito) Reynolds, three brothers, Jermaine Ham, Kenneth (Natasha) Jones-Ham and Carl Ham Jr., his nieces and nephews, Will White Jr., Nakiya White, William White, Ronald Birchfield III, Ryonna Birchfield, Brooklyn Reynolds, T. Carter Reynolds, Holly Jones- Ham, Kenneth Jones-Ham Jr., Brandon (Rita) Ham, Dontavion Ham, ShaKara Ham, and Brittany Ham, his godparents, Quincy and Miriam Ham, several great nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and close friends who will miss him dearly.
