Obituary for Elizabeth Lorraine Gaynor

“Nonnie”

Elizabeth Lorraine Gaynor, affectionately known as “Nonnie” and “Liz”, was born on June 6, 1934, to John Graham Wright Sr. and Blanch Wright, in Erie, PA. Soon after, the Wright Family relocated to Rockford, IL and raised a family of nine children. Nonnie departed this life on Friday, November 27, 2020 with family by her side, she was 86 years YOUNG!!

In the early 60’s, Elizabeth met and married the love of her life, Ronald Isaiah Gaynor I, they had five children: Vivian L., Cynthia M., Veronica L., Victoria L. and Ronald Isaiah Gaynor II. Ronald and Nonnie raised their children in Toledo, OH. For many years the Gaynor house was the place to be. Nonnie was the “hostess with the mostess” while Ronald kept the swimming pool ready for neighbors, friends and family!

Nonnie was a great cook who enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. She loved playing cards (Bid Whist and Spades) with her buddies known as the card gang: Mary, Toney, Nell, Doris, Jean, Bunny and the late Big C, Leroy, Naomi and Woody. Nonnie and the card gang played two or three times weekly, for many years, going to each other’s homes.

Nonnie was preceded in death by her siblings: John G. Wright Jr., Lee Wright, Albert Wright, Harold B. Wright, Paticia Wright, Jeanette Wright, Leonard Wright and granddaughter, Katrina Gaynor.

She leaves to cherish her memory, children: Vivian B. Gaynor, Las Vegas, NV, Cynthia M. Gaynor and Veronica L. Gaynor, Toledo, OH, Victoria L. Gaynor, New York, NY, Ronald I. (Adina) Gaynor II, Rohnert Park, CA; one brother, Dr. Herbert (Grace) Wright, Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren: Andre D. (Vanessa) Gaynor, Los Angeles, CA, Robert L. Gaynor and Robert Lonas, Toledo, OH, great-grandchildren: Andri’a Harris, Toledo, OH, Jina Ellis, Los Angeles, CA, Amari Gaynor, Armani Gaynor and Amir McCorry, all of Toledo, OH, Andrea Gaynor, Los Angeles, CA; sister in Christ, Leslye Colbert-Jones AKA Aunt Bunny, and a host of other relatives and friends.
