Dr. Edna Marie Austin-Riley, was born on August 19, 1961 in Toledo, Ohio. She departed this life on Wednesday, December 3, 2020 at the age of 59.
Edna was born to the union of Merry Wilbur and Doris Austin. She was preceded in death by both parents; uncle, Howard J. Newton; aunt, Rose M. Warren (Ned); nephew, Isaiah O. Austin; mother and father-in-law, Hugh P. Riley and Etta M. Riley.
Edna attended Edward Drummond Libbey High School, graduating in 1979. She graduated PSI, The University of Toledo and Ohio Northern University with her Doctorate of Law (May 2000). She held an array of professional titles throughout her adult life until her health failed.
Dr. Riley was a phenomenal wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was classy and elegant with extremely high standards. She maintained an impeccable appearance like no other. She possessed an undying love with tenacity in all familial relationships. Edna was just a sharp lady.
Dr. Riley leaves to cherish her memories: her spouse, Hugh Q. Riley; sons, Stephen L. Austin, Quintin R. Riley (LaToya); step-daughter, Quintina K. White (Bobby); grandchildren, Bobby A. White, Brycen W. White, Carl R. Riley, Hugh R. Riley, Haylen L. Riley; one great-grandchild, Brycen W. White, Jr.; siblings, Iris F. Hollins, William S. Harper, Harriet L. Dudley (Phillip) of Atlanta, GA, Patricia Y. Ellis (William), Karen F. Austin, Columbus, OH, Merry J. Boyd (Larry), and Velma M. Austin; special family, the Fletcher Family; special friends, Laura L. Milton (deceased), Mayrena Spidell (Kevin), Janelle Beverly; her entire class of 1979 - Cowboys and Cowgirls; college friend, Mr. John Carter; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
